E-E-A-T

Experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trustworthiness: the criteria with which Google evaluates sources, echoed in different forms by generative models.

E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) is the framework with which Google describes the qualities of a reliable source: first-hand experience, expertise, authority recognised by third parties, trustworthiness. It is not an algorithm but an evaluation criterion, and generative models echo its substance when choosing which sources to cite.

For GEO it translates into concrete choices: real authors with name, role and profile for content; facts with source and date; a complete, consistent entity; presence in third-party sources (press, directories, communities) that confirm what the website claims. Anonymous content without facts has no E-E-A-T, and does not get cited.
