The GEO Brand Assessment is the service that analyses whether and how a brand appears in the product and category recommendations of generative AI: which competitors are recommended instead, which sources the answers depend on, and which actions get you into the set the AI recommends.

What has changed

Consumers no longer compare ten product pages. They ask the AI and get one answer.

“What is the best [product] for...?”

“What is the difference between [Brand] and [Competitor]?”

“Which brand can I trust for [category]?”

×2ChatGPT weekly users doubled in a year: from ~400 to ~800–900 million
8%click-through when an AI answer appears (vs 15% without): your product page is not opened
60%of searches already end without a single click: the answer is enough

The problem

If the AI does not name you, you do not exist for the person asking.

And the media budget keeps chasing channels the AI does not read.

The sources that matter

Where the answer comes from, for this audience

Category directories and rankings

For many categories AI cites the same three or four sources when someone asks "which product" or "which brand".

Aggregated reviews

Review platforms and marketplaces: AI summarises ratings and recurring themes, not individual comments.

Communities and forums

Reddit and category forums are among the sources Perplexity and ChatGPT cite most for "is it worth it" questions.

Product pages

They count if readable by crawlers and written for facts: format, certifications, comparisons, FAQs.

The solution

How the GEO Assessment works

1

We ask the AI engines

We put the real questions of your audience to several models (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot), by market and role.

2

We find the sources

We identify the actual articles and pages that form that perception, with verified URLs.

3

We give you the plan, and carry it out

Score, gaps and concrete actions per touchpoint. Your team executes them, or we do: content, sources, presence. Then we measure again.

What you receive: GEO Score A–F · Visual SWOT · Source map · Reputational risks · Action plan · Competitor comparison. One branded report, exportable to PDF, generated by the proprietary ReputAction platform. And with monitoring, the same snapshot repeated over time: you see how far your positioning has moved.

Correct branded answers (score B), but total absence from category questions: AI cited three competitors present in two directories and one ranking. After four weeks (directory listings, a category page with comparison and FAQs, structured data, two documented Reddit replies) the re-analysis shows presence in 60% of category answers on Perplexity and ChatGPT, cited first in half the cases.

Frequently asked questions

GEO Brand Assessment: the essential answers

What is the GEO Brand Assessment?

The GEO Brand Assessment is the service that analyses whether and how a brand appears in the product and category recommendations of generative AI: which competitors are recommended instead, which sources the answers depend on, and which actions get you into the set the AI recommends.

How does the analysis work?

We ask several AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot) the real questions your audience asks, identify the sources that shape the answers, with verified URLs, and deliver a GEO Score from A to F, a SWOT, reputational risks and an action plan per channel. The demo audit is ready in 48 hours.

What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?

GEO is the optimisation of a brand's presence in the answers of generative engines: as SEO makes you visible in Google results, GEO makes you present and recommendable in the answers of ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. The work is on the sources the AI reads and cites, not only on the website.

Does AI really recommend products?

Yes, directly: to "which [product] for [need]" it answers with three or four names and the reasons. The sources are directories, aggregated reviews, comparisons and communities, more than the brand's website.

Our e-commerce is already SEO-optimised: is that enough?

No: fewer than 10% of the sources cited by AI are on Google's first page for the same question. Product pages must be extractable and, above all, the brand must exist in the third-party sources the models use for recommendations.

Who carries out the actions in the plan?

Your team, or us: every action in the report is operational (updating sources, making pages and listings readable by AI, looking after reviews and Wikipedia) and we can carry it out directly, or work alongside whoever already runs your channels.

How do I measure results (ROI)?

Through monitoring: periodic runs of the same questions on the same AI engines, GEO Score over time and a before/after comparison for each intervention. You see how far your positioning has moved against the investment, and an alert warns you if a negative narrative emerges.

How do we start, and what does it cost?
