FAQPage and extractable blocks

FAQPage is the schema.org type with which a page declares a list of questions and answers. In GEO the value lies not so much in the annotation as in the format: an explicit question followed by a short, self-contained answer is the form of content models pick up most readily, because it matches the way users ask questions.

The same principle applies to extractable blocks in general: definitions at the top, paragraphs that make sense without context, data with source and date, tables. Citation studies show that almost half of the passages picked up come from the first third of the page: facts belong at the top.
